Delightful landscapes, extraordinary
artwork, a fascinating area rich in history,
special traditions and folklore: welcome to
Abano Terme and the Regional Park of the
Euganean Hills.
The park was established in 1989; it is
18.702 hectares and includes the highest
hill peaks of the Padana plain. Secular oak
trees and chestnut tree woods alternate with
Mediterranean bushes and large vine and
fruit terrace cultivations.
Away from the congestion of traditional
tourist paths, but still close to important
cities in the region, Abano Terme is located
at the foot of the Euganean Hills, which
offers unique itineraries through walled
cities and villages that appear like
small precious gems set in the land: Arquà
Petrarca, Praglia Abbey, Valsanzibio Garden,
Monselice, Montagnana and Este (walled
cities).
But a trip to the Hills means more than
sightseeing: it’s a delightful invitation to
discover and taste the flavours of the area.
Professional management and craft in the
vineyard, revealed through the cultivation
of chestnut, olive, cherry, and all the
other fruit trees, provide satisfaction to
the refined customer, who is increasingly
educated and qualified. Those with curious
and demanding tastes will appreciate our DOC
(“Denomination of Controlled Origin“) wine
and DOP cheeses, as well as typical hams and
salami, which are recommended alongside
local wine and culinary suggestions.
Therefore, a holiday in the Euganean Hills
will leave unforgettable memories of unique
flavours.
