Tested tours and new art destinations make
Abano and the Abano Ritz Hotel the ideal
starting point for sensible tourism,
creating a sort of "spinneret" of the
Venetian cities of art.
Padova can be visited in many ways,
choosing for example one of the many
itineraries that conform to its different
souls.
The Antonian itinerary will lead to the
discovery of religious sites, regarding
the figure of Saint Anthony of Padova;
the art itinerary will offer art rarities
from the fourteenth century including
Giotto’s masterpiece in his Scrovegni
Chapel. Padova also possesses an ancient
university “soul”, which can give the
tour a scientific setting with visits to the
historical sites of the athenaeum, such as
the Bo Palace with the famous
Anatomy Theatre. A tour of the most
famous squares of Padova is a must,
beginning from Prato della Valle, the
largest European square.
Vicenza is a name that is inevitably
bound to the great architect Andrea
Palladio. Beginning your visit from the
historical centre of Vicenza, it is possible
to discover the main works of this famous
architect: the numerous buildings designed
for the nobles, such as Palazzo
Chiericati, which is today the home of
the Civic Museum, but also public buildings
like the Basilica or the Olympic
Theatre. In the outskirts of Vicenza you
will find the most famous villa: Villa
Capra, otherwise called “La Rotonda”.
Verona has preserved evidence of
its secular history during the centuries.
The Stone Bridge, the Arch of Gavi, Porta
Borsari and Porta dei Leoni, but above
all the Roman Theatre and the Arena
are the most important and most
well-preserved monuments of the Roman epoch.
The religious patrimony is particularly
rich, with the Churches of St. Lorenzo,
St. Zeno and St. Stefano, the Cathedral of
St. Maria Matricolare.
Verona is the “city of lovers”: the city
of Romeo and Juliet and Shakespeare.
The lyric season takes place from
June to September in the Arena of Verona,
one of the most well-preserved amphitheatres
in the world.
Treviso, contained within the
sixteenth-century walls, does not
attract the visitor with a particular
monument, but with the city in its entirety,
adorned by coloured buildings and elegant
palaces, and with flowing water from the
Sile River.
The province of Treviso is also pleasant in
its entirety: if we mention only the
artworks or its natural beauties, we would
neglect the refinement of the cuisine and
the wine production, appreciated throughout
the whole world.
Abano Ritz as the starting point for an

Venetian architecture, from the 16th to the
18th century:

Patrician Venetian villas of the Brenta
river, "la Malcontenta" and "Villa
Pisani" designed by A.Palladio.
